There are many signs that your other half might be cheating on you. Sometimes it can even come back to the smallest of things. Coming home later than normal, in some cases even just an hour or two later and laying claim to being held up at work, or in construction, etc. There is a strange fragrance on his/her clothing that shouldn't be there and now suddenly its very consistent. Also in a lot of cases where a spouse is cheating on his or her partner, you may notice them trying to improve themselves, perhaps for another person. This can be in the form of new jewelry, clothing, making a stronger attempt to look nice all the time, etc.
The thought of your spouse with another person can hurt very badly, but if you need absolute closure, sometimes its necessary to take drastic actions and be a little unethical for the possibility of saving a marriage. For that one reason this is completely moral in the long run if you use it to see the signs he is cheating.
While your partner is distracted, either outside or in the shower, you may have access to their phone. Its not expected that you recognize all of the numbers, but chances are if you rely upon your intuition, you should be able to determine whether a number belongs to someone who is a little bit more than a "friend".
In fact, though this may be painful to hear, in some cases your partner may have a term of endearment for this person that they use to label them in their list of numbers on their cell phone. This isn't always the case, but if so - it can make it extremely easy to figure out if there might be someone else in his or her life.
Or what is quite common in these types of situations is that while your spouse is in another room, their phone rings and you look to see if its important - this is sometimes how the possibility of an affair is spotted. Either no name will come up and the number sometimes isn't in the area, and has no reason to call this phone, or as mentioned before - their is a disheartening pet name for the person, and the person isn't you.
Some suspecting partners will go as far as to hire a private investigator to keep tabs on their spouse. You've probably heard this or seen this on television, and it can be quite common. Granted that a PI has a lot of street skill and some leads to begin with, one thing that they might use is a reverse number lookup - and now you can too.
If you can get a hold of the suspicious number, you can enter it into a reverse lookup directory and instantly access gobs of information about the stranger. The info can vary depending on the service that you use and other variables, but typically you will be able to get a name, location, address, phone service provider, and sometimes get access to background records such as divorce papers, or criminal background checks, allowing you to not only possibly save your marriage, but your spouse as well.
