How To Fix A Wet Cell Phone

You dropped it in the toilet, it slipped out of your hand and into the sink, bent over to feed the fishes in the back yard pond, and whoops! However you managed to do it - one thing is for sure, you won't be making any calls any time soon, or will you?

Look it happens so don't feel bad. I have met plenty of people who have dropped their cellular phones in some container of liquid at one point or another in their life. So if you are in need of quick fix, here is exactly how you fix a wet cell phone.

The first and most crucial step about reviving your phone is to get it out of the water as soon as possible. The main reason is so that you can immediately remove the battery. The battery could cause major problems if wet and left in your cell for too long.

Also be sure to remove any other attached accessories before its too late. Take out a sim card if you have one in your phone, and begin drying your phone with a towel or dry cloth.

New, grab a bowl and fill it with a small bag of rice. Then bury your cell phone into it, making sure that every single part is covered.

Let this sit for anywhere from 1 - 2 days. It isn't guaranteed that it will work, but in many cases the rice will absorb the moisture, drying any inside (non crucial) parts.

Its probably best to let your phone rest for a while, even once removed from the bowl of rice. Make up your mind that you won't be disappointing if it doesn't come on, but you may be surprised.
