Colorado has the area code 719 which is a North American telephone area code that covers all of thirty counties, including Douglas, Denver, Alamosa and Washington counties.

It also presides within these thirty counties over one hundred and thirty-one cities or towns like Colorado City, Jefferson, Springfield, Antonito, Olney Springs and Green Mountain Falls.

The area population is less than one million, and it is made up of females and males pretty evenly, with whites making up the majority of the residents in terms of ethnicity, and Hispanics placed in 2nd, then followed up by blacks.

Area code 719 covers the south eastern part of the state of Colorado, splitting the southern border in half, only giving up the other half to the other Colorado area code 970.
